Have a WALE of a good time!

Otherwise known as "The Date Which Most Closely Resembles Corduroy."

Today is National Corduroy Appreciation Day!

If in doubt, check with the folks over at the Corduroy Appreciation Club.

"The time has come.
The Wales are aligning.
The date which most closely resembles Corduroy,
EVER, 111111 is upon us!
Rejoice. Rejoice! Our day has come."

As you can see, Mr. P is very happy to celebrate the spirit of the day!  After all, not often does a retired Professor get to bring out (and celebrate) his work uniform. Trust me, these corduroy coats have the required leather elbow patches, too.

And, as if that weren't enough, the Corduroy Appreciation Club is searching for its Messiah--an 11 year old child born on 11-11.  Says Club founder, Miles Rohan, "The parents need to be amenable to this sort of thing, and they need to explain to the child the lack of responsibility that comes with the title."
You can read all about it here.

We'll be going out to dinner tonight--you know what we'll be wearing!
